NEW VAN

Our new LOTUS SPRINT arrived and we picked it up on the 1st July. It is everything we expected it to be and more.
One big problem (which has nothing to do with the manufacture of the van) was that I requested a double sink which they happily supplied, but this meant I lost a cutlery drawer. Once we got home and I let my fingers do the walking and got a cabinet maker to build me an extra couple of drawers and put shelves in both east and west cupboards in the kitchen we were in business.
I will endeavour to get some pictures of the van interior as soon as I can.

Oue first big trip will be at Christmas time when we will head down the coast form Mackay, Christmas with son Andy and his partner and on to Parkes by January 9 for the Elvis Festival.
We will work for this one. Last year we attended as tourists and saw over a thousand Elvis' of all shapes and sizes in a grand parade that lasted nearly 1 1/2 hours, with Elvis's on foot, on trucks, in convertables and a very authentic "Elvis and Priscilla" with him using a walking frame and the obligatory elvis wig (shaded grey) and sunglasses and Priscilla with a walking stick. Well it was the 75th anniversary of his birth afterall.
We will then go on to Guyra for the Lamb and Potato Festival, which we do every year. Made even more interesting by the fact that I will be nursing a new knee replacement to replace the old knee replacement that was put in 4 years ago.
